INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: GEOSPATIAL ENGINEERING INTERN

SLA Geophysics, a geophysical surveying company based in Nairobi, Kenya, invites applications for one (1) Geospatial Engineering Intern to join our team. The internship will focus on remote sensing and satellite imagery analysis for mineral exploration, particularly hydrothermal alteration mapping, alongside terrain analysis, GIS mapping, and survey and field data collection, processing, and interpretation. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in applying geospatial technologies to mineral prospectivity mapping and geological investigations.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or degree in Geospatial Engineering, Geomatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
2. Basic knowledge of GIS and remote sensing software, preferably ENVI, QGIS, or ArcGIS.
3. Interest in satellite imagery processing, spectral analysis, hydrothermal alteration mapping, and mineral exploration.
4. Knowledge of terrain analysis and digital elevation models is an added advantage.
5. Willingness to learn, participate in fieldwork, and work collaboratively.
